Irena Eibenová, Marcela  Molnárová a Martin Tamáš jsou středoškolští učitelé. Irena učí základy společenských věd, francouzštinu a angličtinu na Gymnáziu Hladnov v Ostravě. V roce 2014 byla jednou ze zakladatelů Asociace učitelů občanské výchovy, jejímž cílem je metodologická podpora učitelů, vytvoření komunikační platformy pro učitele podobných předmětů a silnější a jednotné zastoupení „občankářů“ v kontaktu s Ministerstvem školství. Marcela učí angličtinu na České lesnické akademii Trutnov. Ve svých hodinách usiluje o prohlubování kritického myšlení a přináší do nich průřezová témata zaměřená na výchovu k demokracii. Ve své škole iniciovala uspořádání Studentských voleb a workshopu Paměti národa. Martin učí na Střední uměleckoprůmyslové škole keramické a sklářské v Karlových Varech. Zkušenosti svých studentů se snaží rozšiřovat poznáváním nových zemí a kultur, a tak se jeho třída nedávno zúčastnila výzkumného projektu o geotermálním využití vody na Islandu s finanční podporo...

Kateřina Děcká is a teacher. In September and October 2022, she spent seven weeks in the U.S. as one of three Czech high school teachers selected for the Fulbright Teaching Achievement and Excellence Program. Kateřina teaches at a college-preparatory school Gymnázium Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, located in the south-eastern part of the historical region of Moravia. The major goal of the training was to equip participants with new skills and tools to encourage their students’ critical thinking and to develop their media literacy. The major part of the training took place in Madison, Wisconsin, and, at the very end, all participants traveled to Washington, D.C. to meet American policy makers, to discuss national educational strategies and to understand how education policy is created in the U.S. How transformative can a seven-week stay abroad be? Michaela Faltusová is a high school teacher.  She teaches English and Economics, at the Industrial, Technical and Automotive High School in Jihlava, the capital of the Vysočina Region. During September and October of 2022, Michaela spent six weeks in the U.S. participating in the Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program focused on media literacy and critical thinking. The major part of her training happened at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Via workshops, debates, presentations, and expert talks for the selected group of 22 teachers from various European and Asian countries, Michaela explored various aspects of her teaching objectives. She learned about media literacy and its advancement, democratic values and how to strengthen them, inclusion and diversity, discussed current events, and talked about the importance of students’ wellbeing in the classroom.
